We're absolutely thrilled to have won bronze for 'Dog Friendly Business of the Year' in the Cornwall Tourism Awards for the second year running.
The news was announced at a virtual award ceremony of the 2020/21 awards held on February 25, 2021.
Gwelmor’s owner, Jayne Martin, said: “I’m absolutely thrilled that we’ve picked up what is our second award for being one of the best dog-friendly businesses in Cornwall.
“It has been a very difficult year for everyone, particularly those within the hospitality industry, so receiving this award is fantastic and has given us a huge boost.
"We want to say a huge thank you to all our guests for their continued support, especially throughout the last year when we've had to rearrange their holidays with us. Their patience and understanding has been amazing."
It is the second year running we've picked up bronze in the awards. In 2019/2020, not only did we win Bronze for in the dog-friendly category but were also commended for Self-Catering Accommodation of the Year.
While Gwelmor has had to remain closed for much of 2020, a lot has been going on behind the scenes. We've taken the time to create this, our new website, which means all our accommodation information is now digital.
We've also taken steps to ensure that our guests can be reassured that our cleaning policies and procedures strictly adhere to Government guidelines. Gwelmor has been certified by both Quality in Tourism and Visit England for the measures we've put in place.
