Gwelmor was named the South West's best Dog Friendly Business in a prestigious award ceremony for the tourism industry.
Gwelmor, in Widemouth Bay, north Cornwall, scooped Gold in the Dog Friendly Business of the Year category for both the South West and the Cornwall Tourism Awards 2021/22, having winning bronze the previous two years.
The awards were announced at a virtual ceremony on April 7, 2022.
Owner Jayne Martin said: “I’m absolutely thrilled to have won Gold for the entire South West of England. This is the third year we’ve won an award for our dog-friendly nature.
“It’s great recognition of our ethos that dogs are part of the family, and our aim to make holidaying at Gwelmor easy and luxurious for adults, children and the dogs! It has been a big year for Gwelmor as we’ve taken the step of leaving our original holiday booking agency to go independent and this recognition will help us as a small family business.
“Being recognised in the South West Tourism Awards really does help raise awareness of the wonderful things that small, medium and large businesses are doing throughout the region."
The award for the South West came after Gwelmor won Gold at the Cornwall Tourism Awards which celebrates the best of tourism businesses across Cornwall & the Isle of Scilly.
